Hall Farm, Walgrave, is a grower and supplier of premium feed for horses, operating in Northamptonshire.

We are dedicated to providing consistently high quality grass hay and haylage, grown on our own farm and sold directly to the consumer. I pride myself on my prompt, friendly and reliable service.

We make a selection of meadow and ryegrass seed hay in round and small conventional bales. The meadow hay is made from both historic permanent pasture and more recently sown paddock grass including some Timothy hay suitable for laminitics.

We also make haylage in various diameter round bales – thus something for everyone! Local delivery is available – price dependent on distance and quantity ordered – as well as collection from the yard.

Alongside the low nutrition hay suitable for laminitics we also sell barley straw to mix with the hay.

We have had analyses done on our forage to enable us to demonstrate the quality.

My speciality is possibly round bale haylage, which I believe is the best quality in the area. I’ve dropped the  conventional sized haylage bales as they were expensive to make and difficult to handle but what I have done is alongside the 4′ diameter round haylage I’m also making some 3′ and 3’6” round bales for customers with one or two horses to take their place. Both sizes are available in meadow or ryegrass depending on the level of nutrition the horse requires. The ryegrass is suitable for studs, hunting yards, competition or racehorses but I have some meadow haylage made from fields that have had no spray or fertiliser and so would be suitable for good-doers.
